    • A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.

Our tour guide Cheech (may not have spelled this correctly) was wonderful and fun. Took us around the city in his nice air conditioned vehicle to see lots of really cool things about Belize. The rum factory and tasting was great and interesting. Then he took us to a Belizean restaurant for lunch that was so good with outdoor seating right on the water. Get the grilled conch if you go! We would definitely recommend this to friends and we would book it again just to visit more with Cheech.

We took this tour on my birthday 6/22 for our Carnival port day in Belize. Met with the contact for Royal Belizean at the back of Terminal #1. I'm sorry, I can not remember the young man's name but he was very friendly and personable and we knew we were in good hands. Our driver, Jefferson was amazing. A fun guy who gave us all the information about Belize and the local sights and we cruised around. Had an amazing Belizean breakfast of fried tacos (so good!), yummy fruits (pineapples, mangoes and bananas), and pasties (conchas, croissants and cake) from a neighborhood bakery. Stopped for a rum tasting. Tried a few samples and picked up some local hot sauces for souvenirs. Stopped by one of the many Belize signs and our group took photos. Afterwards we visited a restaurant for lunch, although I was too full from sampling all the other snacks during the tour, I stayed on board with a few others while most of our group had lunch. It was a busy spot, everyone from all walks of life were stopping by on their lunch breaks. Everyone had great things to say about their lunches. I'm glad my bestie and I took this tour because I feel like we really got to see a glimpse of the real day to day life in Belize City not just a version of the super touristy areas. Please note that if you are a tall person or a person of size, or even if you have any difficulty stepping in and out of a tall van without running boards, you may have issues maneuvering the van used for the tour. I'm 5'9 on a good day and not a tiny woman and it was a challenge as the seats are fixed and not able to be moved/adjusted, I had to sit sideways for most of the tour as the seats in front of me hindered my sitting forward due to my height. I also had to crouch to even get in the van as my head was touching the ceiling if I tried to even walk upright. Next time we'd probably arrange a private car due to our unique circumstances, but just understand this isn't a standard tour bus or sprinter van that you'd encounter on tours in the US. Again thanks y'all for all the fun!

Authentic Belizean Experience! Oregon

One of the best tours of our cruise! First - the tour was only 1 hour after reaching the port. So, it was a little nerve wrecking to make sure we got on the first tender of the morning. But we got up extra early and we were able to get on the first one. Finding and meeting up with Jeff was easy to do once we made it to the pier. The tour was incredible. We saw the sights of the city, and Jeff told us lots of stories about the history and culture of his people. The food, oh my the food. We were so full by the time we finished the tour. We stopped at so many food stands on the side of the road, I couldn’t even eat it all. And the whole fish plate lunch was spectacular. Since the tour was just Jeff and us, we really got to know him, and he was able to move the tour at our pace. Jeff was so friendly and so funny. Highly recommend him if you can ask for him. This is the first excursion we’ve booked through Shore Excursionner but it won’t be our last! We had a great experience. If you want to see how people really live and what they really eat - this is the tour for you.

Jeff met us for our tour, he was so personable and kind. We fell in love with the history of Belize and the food. Jeff made our trip so magical. We learned so much about Belize and got to experience the most amazing foods and see first hand how culturally rich Belize really is. We learned so much about the locals and had such a great time and great conversation with Jeff. I can’t wait to go back!

I really can't say enough nice things about this tour. Percy met us at Pier Number One beyond the ally. First of all, his vehicle was very clean and he had air conditioning and he gave each of us a bottle of water. He first took us to the Sexy Chicken where we tried mild beef patties with coconut water. The flavors were phenomenal. We then went to a fruit stand where we got to taste the sweetest pineapple that I have ever eaten. He then took us to a bakery where we got to pick two items in the store. The store clerk suggested the cheese buns which didn't disappoint. It was like a cheesy Hawaiian roll. We then went to the Rum factory and got tons of samples. We were feeling really relaxed. We then went to St. John's Cathedral. It was beautiful and very holy. Finally, he took us to Signature Deck where we got to try rice and beans with stewed chicken which was absolutely amazing!! You are truly getting a bargain with this tour. Not only do you get to try traditional Belizean foods, but Percy is a wealth of knowledge concerning Belizean cultural and history. Additionally, it was comforting knowing we were on a private tour with the owner of the company. My husband and I agree, this was the best thing we did on our cruise!!

Thank you to Percy for making our tour informative and special. We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. When we take out next tour in Belize we will ask for Percy. The stops were perfect. Not overstaying at the locations was a plus. Beating the busy large tour buses at the locations was priceless. I will definitely book this tour again.

Arrive on the first tender over to the port. Found Percy and the rest of the team in a matter of minutes. They were friendly and informed us of the exact time to meet back to begin our excursion. We had booked a 2 person private tour and then 24 hours prior emailed to add 2 more and they accommodated us. Percy grew up in the area and was well versed in the culture of Belize. His English is great so they was never a communication breakdown. He drove us around town explaining each area we were in. We went to the Sexy Chicken for our first snack (Beef or Chicken patties, think empanadas) and they were so yummy. Then off to a fruit stand for local fruit. We visited the park, don't forget to hug the Turtles for Luck. Hit up the Rum factory, great stories to be told here... make sure to bring some money for extra taste. It is a great time to try the Cashew Wine. We enjoyed lunch (at your expense) and K & M Restaurant. Make sure to expand your taste buds here. Also note the prices listed on the board are in Belize funds, which is about double US Funds currently. So a $ 20.00 is only $10.00 us dollars. Also, try to have close to exact dollars if using US funds, they will not be able to give you change. All in all a great way to see the city, experience some culture and enjoy great food.

This was a fantastic excursion! My kids learned a lot about Belize and they were so fascinated with the food and fruits. The only to be in another city and learn through the food was fantastic for them. We enjoyed the rum and the kids were given a special non-alcoholic drink too. We picked up a bottle of some great hot sauce called Marie Sharp. OMG!

We enjoyed the excursion even though our tour guide left us! Dennis who is a tour guide took us to find Percy but he was no where to be found so he did the excursion for us! Dennis was great showed us around the city not just the tourist areas either we ask to let us see what people don’t usually see! The food was really great some of the best pineapple I have ever eaten! Percy if you read this DENNIS did a wonderful job and is very knowledgeable about his city!

If you're looking for an excursion that doesn't include zip lining, going to the beach, or water activities, this is great! Food tasting was pretty tasty, the fruit at the fruit stand was outstanding! Rum factory was average with decent rum tasting. Lunch was ok, I've actually had some better in Roatan, but very authentic. Our guide, Percy was very informative and personable, made the tour!

Melonie and Percy were great and did a great job of showing the city. I would have loved to stop at some of the buildings and viewed them. Only negative is the actual transportation. The old school bus vs a regular bus was very tight, I was happy it had air, but the old seats were a negative.

We were not disappointed booking this excursion. It was so much fun and super interesting. We highly recommend this to anyone that does not want to do active tours like ziplining, tubing or ATVs). We had younger people and some older ones too as well as a family with 2 smaller behaved kids.

We had an awesome tour by Percy- He was friendly, and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and taught us so much in a conversational way instead of sounding like he was reading a script- it was like having a good friend show us around. We felt so comfortable and at ease as we toured and tasted our way through Beautiful Belize learning about the culture and cuisine. We tried “patties” fresh fruit from a local fruit stand- most delicious papaya I have ever tried!!! We went to the Travelers Rum Factory and really enjoyed not only the excellent Rums, brandy and wines, but the history as well. We were able to see and take photos with several Belize landmarks including the Belize sign, St Johns Cathedral, and the lucky turtles just to name a few. We finished our tour with an amazing authentic Belizian lunch. So be sure to check out this excursion- be sure to ask for Percy, and most of all be sure you go hungry-
