      • Each boat holds between 35 and 60 guests maximum, depending on which boat is used.
      • Boats may also be used to move guests to another reef if weather conditions warrant.

Finding the team off the ship was easy! The island was so cute! We got there and began snorkeling. Saw a HUGE stingray and manatee! The guides were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure our trip was amazing! I am so mad I forgot their names but they did great!!!

Goff’s Caye: A Hidden Gem of Belize Fargo

This is my second time to Goff’s Caye when visiting Belize on a cruise. The country of Belize has so much to offer and if you have a chance make sure to see the ruins along with the coral reef. We haven’t been anywhere yet we haven’t loved. Also, the people of Belize or always kind and genuine. We have the best conversations with them as we discuss the history, politics, and life in their country. Goffs is a tiny Caye and takes about 20-25 minutes to boat out to it. Our guide, Claudius, our captain, Allen, and the others took wonderful care of us. They first gave a short tour of the harbor area and then we took off for Goffs There were only about 12 of us going which made the experience even better as we had the tiny “island” all to ourselves. Once there we were greeted by two dogs, Max and Roach, which are residents of the island. Roach refused to let our youngest out of his sight and stayed by her side the entire time she spent in the water; which was almost the entire day there! The snorkelling is wonderful. It is a bit more churned up but my camera captured amazing photos so make sure to bring an underwater camera. Claudius took time with everyone and there was no rushing like a previous excursion. The food is incredible. The lobsters are about as fresh as you can get as they grab them right from the ocean. The beans and rice too are the best I have eaten. The meal is not included but definitely worth buying. Free rum punch is provided, but be careful as it’s strong. The beach is sandy except on one side where it’s rocky. There are palm trees and buildings to provide shade and of course bathrooms. If you want an idyllic location to relax on a beach or to swim in the ocean or to snorkel or to do all three this is the place. We will be back.

This was my bf’s first cruise. All he wanted to do was see “blue water”. And this excursion did not disappoint. It looked like something you’d see on a postcard. Claudius, our tour guide, was awesome. Full of information and humor. The rum punch was delicious. Food is available for purchase so bring some cash. Not a whole lot of shade so don’t forget sunscreen and sun shirts. I recommend water shoes also. We loved swimming with Roach, an island local. Only suggestion would be beach chairs. If you’re looking for beautiful waters and swimming, this is the place for you.

My favorite excursion on our cruise! We saw two manatees and a huge sting ray while we were out snorkeling. Goffs Cays is absolutely beautiful!! Crystal clear water and the tour guides and the workers on the Island were 10/10!

Awesome day on this trip! Beautiful island, awesome snorkeling,and delish lobster! One of the tour guides Filippe was awesome!! Only bad thing was our van to take us back to ship wasn’t there and was going to be a 30 minute wait so we had to walk back.

We arrived at the port at 8am as was requested on our email. We were the first ones there. Unbeknownst to us, we would be waiting on many other people, about another 2.5 hours. This was disappointing as we made sure we were first off our ship, on the first tender, wanting to be on time for our excursion. I would like for the email to state what time the boat would be leaving so we would not have rushed & sat for 2.5 hours, wondering if we'd have enough time for our total allowable time on the island. We were getting really nervous if we'd make it back to the ship on time. We shared this concern with the staff & we were assured "We've done this before." We were lucky that day, since we were in Belize the prior month with rough seas, we knew the seas could be choppy. But this day it was perfect. The ride to & from Goff's was smooth & perfect. Once on the island, we enjoyed the beauty of "most" of the small island. There was a nice area, but an area behind the restrooms that smelled & contained trash & broken items. The snorkeling was gorgeous & the reef was amazing but as experienced snorkelers, we were disappointed that we could not experience the reef with our group, without a guide. However, we had a good time snorkeling & the reef was amazing. We did decide to get a chicken meal which was $15 extra. However, after eating our food, we realized when we seen a boy bringing a steaming pot from the back of the island, that the rice was prepared in a little shack/tent. This left me wondering about the lack of sanitation in the cooking & I wished I wouldn't have ate that meal. The crew did get us back in plenty of time to catch our cruise. They delivered us back quickly to the area where we met them that morning. All went smoothly, except for the opinions listed above.

I can't begin to say how much we looked forward to this excursion and we were not disappointed. From beginning to end, this trip was perfect. The guide always had our safety in mind going to and from the island. The water was absolutely stunning, the food for lunch was delicious and the snorkeling was amazing. Even though the island is small, we never felt overcrowded and also was extremely clean. The customer service with everyone we came in contact with was superb!! If you are thinking about booking this excursion, do it as you won't regret it!

From booking to getting back on the boat was top notch service, transportation, and people... of all the places and cruises I have done b4 this was by far the best! It is very simple but you get to see Belize in her natural beauty! I would rather do this excursion every single time in Belize than any other *touristy* one.. please do this!

Great staff, very informative about your time and visit. Did the snorkeling about half a mile off the island and was impressed with the amazing experience of the coral reefs that did not disappoint. My wife and I also snorkelers right off the beach and we didn't want to leave. Lots of fish, rays and the best most beautiful reefs in the world. Would definitely recommend this and we will be back!!! Great food,from the Lobster and the fresh fish served to the Rum and beer. Your in good hands with the staff.

Wow, what a beautiful island! Had an absolute blast and was very age friendly. Island itself was relaxing and fun and the most beautiful place you’ll ever see. Snorkeling was fun but long, so probably wouldn’t do it again when we return there next year. Food and drinks were amazing (free rum punch) & the beer was cheaper there than in downtown area! Only downside was is the boat ride (30 minutes one way so took up an hour of the four hour excursion)! Definitely will be going back!

Took this excursion in January 2020. Goff's Caye is just a tiny little island surrounded by beautiful blue water. It took about 30 minutes to get there from the Port. Once you arrive, you can stay and hang out on the beach or do the snorkel trip. We did the snorkeling and it was great! Afterwards you get some beach time so we soaked up the sun, had some delicious grilled lobster, and drank a couple of rum punches. Fabulous way to spend the day.

The island is beautiful! Although the seas and wind were rough during our visit, the trip was good overall. Positives: Boat guides / excursion staff were good! Snorkel guide spent a lot of time - didn't feel rushed Plenty of time on the island Negatives: *Arrived 1.5 hours early - didn't realize Belize is 1 hour behind. Most guests were frustrated after rushing off the ship then realizing we still had an hour till excursion *Office staff aren't very friendly or attentive . They seemed to care less. *Although the tour didn't started at 9:30 (belize time) we didn't leave until 10:10, and arrive on the island until 10:40. The staff are in NO rush to leave. *We literally rode around in the boat to kill time, waiting on a staff member to arrive (about 15-20 minutes) Again, a beautiful island. The staff simply need a bit more organization!

What a wonderful day on a Private island! You could not get any more of a perfect beach day! Water was beautiful and we spent most of the day just laying in water relaxing. The only complaint I had was the long boat ride to get to the island after tendering in to the mainland from the cruise ship. I would say it was a good hour combined to finally get to the island. Food choices on the island wasn't the greatest but we ate a big breakfast on the cruise ship so we were fine until we got back on the ship. There is so much to see on Belize so I'm not sure I would do again just because I want to explore more. If you havent done this excursion you won't be disappointed!! Gorgeous!!!!

This is one of the most beautiful places. Snorkeled and enjoyed fresh lobster. The guides got us back in plenty of time to get back to the pier and do some shopping before getting back on the ship.

We love Goff's Caye and have been there many times. It's a small lump of white sand in the middle of turquoise water. Palm trees shade you while you dine on freshly grilled lobster tails. It's what fairy tales are made of. We hope to return again and again. The snorkeling was great. The guides were almost over protective. They take every precaution to make sure their guests have a fun and safe time. This is a must see experience!!!

We had a great time on this excursion! Food was sooooo good! My daughters and I snorkeled (age 10) and due to their age a guide went one on one with us to help and went above and beyond! All Guides were great!

My family and I sailed on the Carnival Breeze on August 3,2019 and Belize was our second stop. We traveled by boat to Goff’s Caye which was about a 30 minute ride to the most spectacular island. Once we arrived we were given a few minutes to use the washroom and change into our swimsuits before heading out to the reef. I was extremely nervous as I have never snorkeled before and was afraid of being eaten by a shark! The group was split into two groups but one of the guides offered to stay with me because I was so nervous. She pointed out all kinds of coral and fish to me and even helped me with my breathing. She went above and beyond and as a result I had the most amazing time. Once we got back to the island I had 3 grilled lobster tails, fries and a beer for $12.00 and free rum punch. The beach was beautiful and the water and sand bar was spectacular. On the way back to the port the captain stopped the boat so we could watch the dolphins in the ocean. My family and I had the most incredible time and would without hesitation recommend this tour. It was fabulous from start to finish and I can’t wait to go back!!!!

Overall this was a great experience. I could be picky & complain about the 45 minute boat ride to the island. But this was all clarified prior to booking, so it was expected. I could complain about the lack of sea life during our snorkeling experience, but it could have been the time of year we were there....Not sure. Never the less, the water was amazing! Next time I'd just stay on Goff's Caye & enjoy the locals more rather than snorkeling. The lobster was amazing, I'd go back for that alone. My husband enjoyed the beer. The locals are great & down to earth. They were a lot of fun to talk to. The view was absolutely gorgeous!

The staff was great and even the ride to the island itself was a beautiful experience! My my 13 year old daughter and I enjoyed Snorkeling for the first time, it was amazing! The water in this island was beautiful. I would do this again if I ever visited Belize again!

We loved our day at Goff’s Caye! It was very crowded on the island that day. We were very fortunate to have been able to rent some of the last chairs they had left. Food was OK and drinks were watered down but the beautiful scenery and clear crystal waters made up for it. The boat ride to the island was a good 30 minutes so that took up a big chunk of our day. I love the island and I’m glad we went but I’m not sure if I would do it again.

Our guides were amazing. make sure you bring some money to the island. There's food and drinks available to purchase. The food under the main pavilion is the best value and beer is cheap! The island is beautiful but gets a little crowded. Bring everything you need, sunscreen, towels etc. Not alot of shade but it is a small remote Island.

Goff's Caye is by far the most beautiful place I have ever been. We were a little late leaving port due to a couple who was late getting off their cruise ship. It was about a 20 minute boat ride to the island. They stop there first and then call for everyone who wants to go snorkeling. Snorkeling was fun but the water was a little choppy. The food available for sale on the island was delicious but required about a 45 minute wait in line. Luckily it's a shaded area. All is all very pleased.

Excursion was really nice. The island is beautiful and it’s far out there which was a little nerve wracking. Brought my whole family and the guides for snorkeling were great even with my kids who were freaking out. Our snorkeling guide brought us right tot he reefs. The only bad thing I have to say is there are many vendors trying to sell you stuff and they won’t leave you alone. I probably had to tell a guy selling bamboo shot glasses no 10 times.

This was my first Snorkel experience as a 50+ year old. Always liked sitting on the beach but never wanted to go in the water. Was a bit apprehensive the closer I got to actually jumping of the boat.....but did it. What was I afraid of all these years? One of the funnest things I've done in years!!! The staff was excellent and all instructions were spot on. We had a lady (grandmother) in our party who was struggling at the beginning and one of the guides stayed with her the whole time we were in the water and she ended up loving it. Time in the water was just right and saw things I had only seen in pictures, "up close and personal"!! Time on the island was great and the food and atmosphere outstanding. Distance from shore is the only draw back as I wish we could have spent a couple more hours there but that's the lay of the land (sea). Would highly recommend this excursion especially for someone not sure about Snorkeling!!!

Wow wow☺ thanx so much for sharing your piece of paradise. It's was the best part of my trip . I had a great time and encourage all to experience this wonderful place and wonderful people. They take pride in their beautiful land as you can see for yourself and the equipment is clean and safe . So, put yourself in their hands to enjoy this great place and awesome people. We were nervous about booking outside of Carnival, but the price was right so we decided to go for it. It was a great time! Everything was as advertised. Meals were $7/8 and were DELICIOUS. We are ages 9-45 and everyone had a blast. Great family excursion!

We arrived late for the scheduled excursion since the tender process took so long. They were very cool about it and let us take the next excursion with no problem (they were leaving every hour). The island is stunning!!!! The only issue was that there was not enough umbrellas and beach chairs. We were lucky enough to have them (for a fee) but others were in the direct sun for the entire time. The only recommendations would be to book less people (it was crowded) and to have more beach loungers and umbrellas.
